Sphere indicates the degree of farsightedness or nearsightedness. Plus (+) indicates correction for near vision while minus (-) indications correction for distance vision.

Select 'NONE' if there is no Sphere value (written as 0.00 or Plano or Pl) in your prescription.

It is common for doctors to leave out decimal points, for example, a number like -100 is the same as -1.00; +225 is the same as +2.25.

This is the corrective axis for astigmatism.

It is an angle between 1 and 180 degrees (if applicable).

It is common for doctors to add zeroes before an axis, for example, an axis of 5 is the same as 005; axis of 70 is the same as 070.
